Led by MELT creator Sue Hitzmann, this 21-hour training provides a balance between lecture and practical application. Sue has spent more than 20 years breaking down complex scientific concepts to make them simple and easy to understand.During the training, you’ll:

  • Discover simple self-care techniques that alleviate stuck stress, aches, and pains and reduce the signs of aging
  • Gain a scientific explanation of why pain becomes chronic

The MELT Hand and Foot Instructor Training is the first step in the MELT University Training Path and the entry point for all aspiring MELT Instructors. MELT trainings offer a supportive, interactive training environment to empower you to share the message of self-care with others, as well as the business support needed to build a thriving practice in Hands-Off Bodywork.

MELT® can be added to anything you already practice: Instructors have integrated MELT into manual and physical therapy, yoga, Pilates, acupuncture, chiropractic care, social work, psychotherapy, massage therapy, personal training, and group exercise, and much more.

Note: Fitness and wellness professionals get the benefit of earning CEU’s from ACE, AFAA, NASM, NCBTMB, PMA. Other continuing education companies may accept MELT Training upon petition.

Prior to attending the live training you will participate in a required self-paced, pre-training online. The pre-training is divided into four modules and should only take about 2-3 hours each. You will have access to a discussion group and receive direct feedback from the MELT Master Trainer team. We’ll send you everything you need to complete this pre-training course.

Does MELT creator Sue Hitzmann lead this training?

Yes, Sue Hitzmann will personally teach you the science behind MELT, discuss the emerging field of fascial research, and share how you can impact the connective tissue and nervous systems with the MELT Hand and Foot Treatments. A team of experienced teaching assistants will assist you and answer your questions and give you opportunities to practice teaching in breakout groups. In addition, the six Master Trainers will guide you through the 4-week pre-training program.

What is the cancellation policy for MELT Trainings?

Should you cancel your registration prior to the online pre-training start date, your payment will be refunded minus a fee of $100*. Should you cancel your registration after the online pre-training has started, your payment will be refunded minus a fee of $250*. (Refunds require the return of instructor manual, where applicable.) Cancellations within two weeks of the training are non-refundable. All cancellation requests must be submitted via email to instructorinfo@meltmethod.com

*After 90 days past the initial point of payment, credit card refunds cannot be processed. Refunds are available as store credit only.

Can I transfer my registration to another training date or location?

Should you transfer your registration prior to the online pre-training start date, you will incur a transfer fee of $100. Should you transfer your registration after the online pre-training has started, you will incur a transfer fee of $250. In the case of multiple transfers, these fees apply for each transfer. Note: You may be required to re-submit any pre-training assignments. All transfer requests must be submitted via email to instructorinfo@meltmethod.com
