New Science of the Human Body

The 14-hour MELT Hand and Foot Instructor training explores the scientific basis of MELT and prepares instructors to teach the Hand and Foot Treatment in one-on-one and group settings.

Instructor Training

The 50-hour MELT Instructor Training equips graduates with an understanding of the MELT Reconnect, Rebalance, Rehydrate, and Release techniques using the MELT soft foam roller.

Strength Module 1

The MELT Strength Immersion Series expands the understanding of NeuroCore and shoulder and pelvis girdle stabilization exercises.

Strength Module 2

The MELT Strength Immersion Series expands the understanding of NeuroCore and shoulder and pelvis girdle stabilization exercises.

MELT on Pilates

MELT instructors who are also certified in Pilates can learn to use MELT to prepare the body to execute the Pilates moves more accurately for greater benefit and to give the mat moves the precision of apparatus work.

Advanced Core

MELT Instructors who have taken the Strength series can learn techniques to enhance core integrity for improved sports performance and muscular tone.

I have my own personal training business since 1995 and opened my own studio in March 2002 with my husband who is also a personal trainer. I was born in Germany and came to the United States in 1989 to work with IBM as an international assignee. I married in 1994 and have since lived in Raleigh, North Carolina. Becoming a personal trainer is my second career, and I entered it after having suffered a shoulder injury myself. Because of this background, my interest in training gravitated immediately towards people who have medical concerns that require a cautious approach to fitness training. I am happy to say that, over the course of my career in fitness, I was able to help many achieve greater well-being. I was introduced to Sue's MELT method at the IDEA World Fitness Conference 2009 in Anaheim, CA, and I immediately knew that I had found the one modality that would help me address those concerns that seemed beyond the grasp of even advanced fitness approaches. MELT has become the foundation and keystone in my training approach. I teach it by itself and in conjunction with other training modalities. I also teach it as a group class. I receive feedback on a constant basis how much people feel that MELT has improved their well-being and thus quality of life. My personal training certification is with NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) through whom I also hold sub-specialties as Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS) and Women's Fitness Specialist (WFS). I am also certified through ACE (American Council on Exercise) as a Health Coach.
