MELT on Pilates

Pre-Requisite: Students must have a solid understanding of Basic MELT sequences.
This Intermediate Class is a combination of Intermediate MELT sequences (beyond the basic MELT sequences), MELT Strength sequences, as well as MELT on Pilates movements...we mix it up in this class.
MELT Strength allows you to rebalance the stabilizing muscles that tend to weaken in every body regardless of activity level. This method combines neuromuscular repatterning with strengthening techniques to address the weak links that damage joints and inhibit your body’s ability to function optimally.
MELT on Pilates brings the integrity back to the form. A healthy spine equates to a healthy body. MELT on Pilates focuses on reintegrating proper movement and articulation of the spine...when a spine can fully flex, Pilates calls this a C-Curve. To obtain a proper C-Curve, 3 elements must be achieved, the ability to differentiate the neck curve from rib motion, curve the ribs while maintaining a neutral pelvis, and moving the legs while keeping the pelvis stable and low back protected.
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga mat and water bottle.
