The MELT Video is in the can!
March 18, 2011
It's amazing how many people it takes to make a vision come to fruition. Over the past six years I've spent the majority of everyday immersed in the MELT world. From developing a method, curriculum, trainings, a website, videos, a book, and products... not to mention teaching classes and maintaining a private practice, it's amazing to me that with all of the stress and demand a growing business can create, I've been able to take it all in stride because of the TEAM of people around me.
There are now over 150 MELT instructors all over the country. There are literally 100 classes going on all over the country. I am sitting here realizing that not only have I been able to help thousands of people get out of pain, there are hundreds of MELT instructors experiencing the same effect. MELT is really an amazing thing. It's amazing that it works. Even for me, when my body aches or feels stiff it just takes me a simple MELT Map and my entire body feels better.
The last two days I spent at the JCC in Manhattan where MELT became a group exercise program. In 2004 I approached the community center with this idea of developing my techniques into a group exercise class. It seemed appropriate to shoot the video where this all really emerged. The cast of MELT instructors, Jim Giacinto, Nancy Mink, Meegan Descheneaux, and one of my weekly participants in my Monday MELT class, Louisa Plous (whom we are trying to get trained this year!!) were phenominal! Their professionalism and skill levels made the entire shoot super easy. And of course Debbie Karch who has been a leader in my company for the past 4 years practically became the director of the shoot. Anticipating my moves, where I would go next... it's like a mind reading partner who just knows me so well she kept the production world class!
I am excited to see what the footage looks like and soon, the video, downloads, and even a MELT App will arise this year!
Keep your eye open for more MELTing near you and on line! I am now 30,000 feet up in the air flying to San Diego where I will do some intro classes and events before shooting up to LA for the very first West Coast MELT Instructor Training!!!
Here's to great things on the horizon! And thanks to Brian Leighton for the photos during the shoot!!!
